Ich mag ja keinen Wein. Irgendwie hoffe ich immer, dass ich es mit dem Alter dann doch irgendwann mag. Aber ich sage euch es gibt da ein Plätzchen auf der Welt, spätestens da mag jeder Wein: Wine Country, Mexico.
San Diego ist nur ganze 30 Minuten von der mexikanischen Grenze entfernt und fährt man noch eine Stunde weiter, landet man in den wunderbaren Weinbergen. Dort kann man von einer Weinanlage zur nächsten fahren, Wein testen und mittendrin bestes Essen (für wenig Geld) genießen.
Wir übernachteten in einer wunderschönen Finca, die wir überraschend ganz für uns allein hatten. Die Finca la Divina wurde von den Eigentümern mit viel Liebe zum Detail saniert und wir waren mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal dort.

I do not like wine. Somehow, I’m always hoping that this will
change by the time I’m getting older. But there is a place in the world, where
everybody wine, country, Mexico.
San Diego is only 30 minutes away from the mexican border and
one hour further, you land in the wonderful vineyards. There you can drive from
one vineyard to the next, tasting wine and enjoying the best food (for little
money).
We stayed in a beautiful Finca, which we had completely for us
alone. The Finca la Divina was renovated by the owners with a great taste of
design and love for every little to detail, so we will definitely come back.
Erster Tipp: Haltet unbedingt bei El Pinar de 3 Mujeres und genießt bestes Essen unter freiem Himmel - Aussicht inklusive (Wine Tasting quasi auch).

First tip: Definitely go to El Pinar de 3 Mujeres and enjoy the
best food in the open air - view included (wine tasting also).
Ganze 2 Stunden saßen wir hier und waren alle überrascht über dieses wunderbare Fleckchen Erde mit samt seinem leckeren Essen und bestem Service. Gezahlt haben wir am Ende dafür recht wenig. Für ein vorzügliches 6-Gänge-Menü mit samt Getränken und einer Flasche Wein rund 25 € pro Person. Absolute Empfehlung und außerdem bekommt man wunderbare Insider-Tipps von der Kellnerin, die gleichzeitig die Tochter der Weinanlagen-Besitzerin ist.
Nächster Tipp: Legado Sais mit dem Food Truck La Combi. Hier wartete die nächste Überraschung auf uns. Eigentlich waren wir auf der Suche nach einer Location zum Abendessen und dachten uns, dass man hier wohl nur etwas snacken kann. Am Ende sind wir bis zum 'Ladenschluss' geblieben, waren mehr als satt und hatten das wohl längste Wine Tasting überhaupt. Hieks.

For 2 hours we sat here and were all surprised about this
wonderful place with its delicious food and the nice service. We paid very
little in the end. For an excellent 6-course menu including drinks and a bottle
of wine around € 25 per person. Sincerly recommended and if you are lucky, you
might get also some insider tips from the waitress.
Next tip: Legado Sais with the Food Truck La Combi. There another surprise awaited us. Actually we were
looking for a location for dinner and thought we could just snap a bit. In the
end, we stayed until the 'shop closure', ate great food and had probably the
longest wine tasting ever. Hieks.
Die gesamte Wine Country hat etwas Magisches. Das Essen wird unter freiem Himmel, vom Grill oder Steinofen serviert und erinnert dabei mehr an Sterneküche, als an einen Imbiss oder Food Truck. Ich war überrascht von all der Kreativität, dem wunderschönen Design und der Liebe zum Detail an fast jedem Ort - absolute Empfehlung!

The whole wine country has something magical. The food is served
under the open air, from the grill or stone oven and reminds me more of a star
kitchen than a snack or a food truck. I was surprised by all the creativity,
the beautiful design and the love for all the little details at almost every
place – very recommendable!
